Q: Why passengers and their gear are weighted and seating order told by the pilot?
A: Every aircraft has a maximum take off weight that must not be exceeded due to safety reasons. Exceeding max take off weight is not allowed and is not sensible by any means. The pilot is responsible for safe loading of an aircraft. Even a safe amount of load must be loaded in accordance to the flight operation manual, so that good steering ability remains. That is why pilot also asks people to take certain seat according to the passenger's weight.

Q: How many passengers can be taken into Cessna 185?
A: Cessna 185 is a six-seater plane (Pilot and 5 passengers) but also weight has to be taken into consideration. Passenger and luggage combined, the weight must not exceed the available weight pilot has calculated for the flight. A rule of a thumb is that in trekking, fishing and hunting trips, only 3 persons and their gear can be taken on board.

Q: Can I fly to any lake in Lapland?
A: It all depends on water and ice conditions. When planning the trip it is always good to contact the pilot. During dry summer plane can not necessarily land on the same lake as the year before and early in the springtime some lakes may still be frozen. We always try to take the customer as near as safely possible to the original planned destination.
